Alstromeria are a tuberous, clump-forming perennial treated as an annual. They produce erect stems bearing showy, funnel-shaped, 6 petaled flowers in summer. Ideal cut flower. Grow at the base of a warm wall and mulch in winter. Prefers moist, fertile soil.
